Summer is in full swing, with July being the month when Americans spend the most time outdoors of any month in the year. Getting outside is a healthful activity on its own, but there are a few key tips the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published to make your summer outdoor activities truly beneficial:
1). Get Outside and Move Around!
The CDC recommends at least 150 minutes of aerobic exercise per week, and given the warm weather and sunshine, people should try to get that exercise outside if they can. If one is physically fit enough, one should shoot for about 20-30 minutes of outdoor exercise daily. Studies show fresh air is good for the lungs, and physical activity has immediate benefits for one’s health, including better sleep and reduced anxiety.
If you need a healthy, all-natural energy boost that also supports cardiovascular health, Immune Solution’s Raw Organic Beet Root – Juice Powder is the #1 athlete’s choice for improving cardiovascular function, overall stamina, and heart health.
2). Protect Your Skin from the Sun
The CDC recommends people spend most of their outdoor time in the shade, if possible. Some exposure to the sun is good for the body, as sunshine is a natural source of vitamin D. But too much exposure can be harmful. It’s recommended people wear wide-brimmed hats, clothing that covers the arms and legs, and a broad-spectrum, all-natural sunscreen with at least SPF 15.
Even the most cautious of individuals may still get a bit of a sunburn this summer, and that’s okay. Immune Solution® crafted a potent oxygenated oil for healing & soothing the skin; our all-natural SKIN O3 Oxygenized Oils, made using your choice of organic olive oil or coconut oil, has numerous benefits, including reducing sun damage, supporting collagen production, maintaining optimum hydration, improving signs of aging, reducing inflammation, stimulating skin cell growth, accelerating the healing process, and oxygenating the skin.
3). Keep the Bugs Away
It’s a good idea to be mindful of insects, as they’re particularly active during summer. More than a minor irritant; mosquitos, ticks, and biting flies can carry diseases. Further, some people have poor reactions to bug bites beyond the minor skin irritation most experience. For that reason, the CDC advises people to wear insect repellant during summer activities and put on long-sleeved shirts & long pants for outdoor wear. It’s also recommended to apply sunscreen first, then apply insect repellant. Finally, the CDC also encourages individuals to frequently check themselves & their clothing for ticks and other insects during outdoor activity and at the end of the day.
If you are bitten by mosquitos or ticks this summer, Immune Solution’s SKIN O3 Oxygenated Oils provide a soothing, healing, and curative solution to the skin — a potent and all-natural supplement that revitalizes the skin and helps heal damage.
