Our Organic Kamut Blend was submitted to Analytical Resource Laboratories (ARL), an independent, ISO/IEC 17025:2017-accredited testing laboratory, for a comprehensive series of microbiological tests. These tests look for unwanted bacteria, yeast, and mold that can affect a product’s cleanliness and quality. In other words, we don’t simply tell you that we care about purity—we take steps to verify it independently.
One of the most important things the laboratory tested for was harmful bacteria, including E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus aureus. These microorganisms can cause food-borne illness and are among the contaminants that manufacturers want to keep out of their products. We’re pleased to report that all three were reported as absent in our tested sample. The laboratory also tested for coliforms, a group of bacteria commonly used as an indicator of sanitary conditions during food production and handling. No detectable coliforms were found in the sample, providing another positive indication of its microbiological cleanliness.
At Immune Solution, We’re Willing to Have an Outside Laboratory Examine Our Products for Purity
The testing also examined the presence of yeast and mold, two types of microorganisms that can develop in food products and potentially affect their freshness, quality, and storage stability. Neither yeast nor mold was detected in our tested sample. The laboratory also measured something called the Total Plate Count, which estimates the overall number of living microorganisms capable of growing under the test conditions. Our sample registered 70,000 colony-forming units per gram (CFU/g). This measurement is a general indicator of microbial activity, rather than a count of harmful bacteria specifically. Taken together, these results give us valuable independent insight into the microbiological quality of our Organic Kamut Blend.
